Mark Keating, founder of Anchor Web Digital, designs and builds every site.

Almost everyone who visits a restaurant website is on a phone, hungry, and looking for three things: the menu, the opening hours, and how to get there. If your menu is a blurry PDF that needs pinch-zooming, you're losing covers every single day.

We build restaurant, café and pub websites that answer those three questions instantly, show allergens clearly, look as good as your food, and connect cleanly to whatever you use for table bookings, takeaway or gift vouchers.

What a winning restaurant website includes

A real menu page, not a PDF

A fast, readable, mobile-friendly menu with allergens marked, that search engines can also read, so your dishes start showing up in searches.

Hours, location and parking up front

The basics people check before choosing you, answered without a single scroll or tap more than necessary.

Booking and takeaway links

Clean connections to your table booking system, Just Eat, Deliveroo or your own ordering, so the path from craving to order is one tap.

Google Business tie-in

Most restaurant discovery happens on Google and Maps. Your profile and your site should show the same hours, menu and photos so both rank better together.

The pages a restaurant website needs

A site that ranks and converts is more than a homepage. This is the structure we would build for restaurants:

  1. 1

    Home

Atmosphere, opening hours and a booking or order button at the top.

  2. 2

    Menu

A real, readable menu page (not a PDF), with allergens clearly marked.

  3. 3

    Book a table or order

Link straight to your table booking or takeaway system.

  4. 4

    Groups and events

Private dining, parties and set menus, if you take them.

  5. 5

    About

The story behind the food and the people.

  6. 6

    Gallery

Good photos of the food and the room.

  7. 7

    Find us

Address, map, parking and opening hours.

What Irish customers search for

Your website should be built around the searches your customers actually make, such as:

  • “restaurant near me”
  • “brunch Galway”
  • “takeaway open now”
  • “group booking restaurant Dublin”
  • “Sunday lunch Cork”
  • “pub food near me”

Trust signals Irish customers look for

Customers choose restaurants they can trust. Showing the right credentials on your site, where they apply to you, makes the decision easier.

Allergen information

Allergen information is a legal requirement for food businesses in Ireland, so make it easy to find on your menu.

Registered food business

If you want to reassure customers, note that you are a registered food business and follow FSAI guidance.

Up-to-date hours

Wrong opening hours lose customers fast. Keep your site and Google profile matching, including bank holidays.

Restaurants website FAQs

How much does a restaurant website cost?

Most restaurant sites run €399 to €699. A single restaurant or café usually fits our Business package, which includes the menu build, local SEO and Google Business setup. A one-page Launch site is €199 for a small café.

I already have a Facebook page and Google listing. Do I need a website?

The listing gets you found; the website gets you chosen. Your own site shows the full menu, allergens, your story and your best photos without ads or a competitor's listing one tap away, and you own it outright.

Can you connect my booking or ordering system?

Yes. We link whatever you already use, such as OpenTable, Just Eat, Deliveroo, Uber Eats or Square, so bookings and orders keep flowing through the system you know.

Should a restaurant put its menu on its website as a PDF?

Avoid it. PDFs are slow on phones and hard for Google to read. A proper menu page loads fast, ranks for dishes and can show allergens and prices clearly.

Do restaurants need their own website if they have social media?

Yes. Social pages don't rank for local searches the way a website does, and your site gives customers hours, menu and booking in one place that you control.

Ready for a website that wins you customers?
